This was the case for Australian born photographer Corrina Tough.

Her love affair with all things French led to her uprooting a secure life in Sydney a few years back to pursue a dream that had been calling her for as long as she could remember. But she had no idea that the arrival of a postcard from Paris would be the very thing that would initiate this dream and coax it to life.
She kept it on her fridge for 5 years, before a series of events led to a decision that would change her life forever.

Here’s a little something you need to know about Corrina – she encompasses a fierce amount of strength, passion and determination. This is a woman that has experienced her fair share of upheaval – both in her personal life and professional life. But there’s a quality to Corrina that captures your attention the moment you meet her. She doesn’t resist embracing the enormity of challenge that life has delivered and as a result, she has confronted these challenges face-on and used them as a powerful driving force to manifest the exact life she wants to live.
Did I mention she has 26-year old twins, a 14-year old daughter, an 11-year old son and has been married to her soul mate for almost 29 years? And here’s another thing – she’s a talented jazz crooner and cook, often hosting friends and guests, presenting delicious French cuisine and serenading them with a tune after dinner.

But her love for photography has been at the forefront of her creative business. She’s a natural storyteller and her passion came to life when she realised she could express herself through a visual narrative. Specialising in wedding photography, private portraits and creating personal branding for business entrepreneurs, her work has her travelling the globe, capturing images that are approached with intuition, love, passion and a celebration of beauty.
Corrina’s story is a reminder of what can happen when we allow ourselves to lean in to trust and follow our intuition. Upheavals happen. They jolt us around and try to get in the way of the life we are paving for ourselves. The way we approach those upheavals determines how much or how little we let them get in the way of our pursuits.

When we truly wish to follow our heart, nothing will compromise the enormity of opportunity that is waiting to be invited in. For Corrina, the passion of living a life in France was something that she felt in her entire being for as long as she could remember. And that’s the magic that happens when we believe in something enough. There is a synchronicity that sets plans into action and suddenly, you realise you have created the very life that once used to be little more than a postcard on your fridge…
