A Photography & Writing Workshop

Are you feeling your photography and words are a little lack lustre? That perhaps you’re not getting the best engagement through your social media and Blog posts like you should be? Engaging words and photos are at the heart of true Story Telling. It’s how we attract our audience, connect people with our work and make a great impression. In this 1-Day Workshop we help you learn how to achieve greater reach with your words and images. We show you how much more effective your engagement can be when you have a strong Voice. Make the content of your blog posts and social media truly count and attract more people to your Site.

Taking beautiful photos or writing heartfelt words is just one aspect of attracting your audience. Making yourself Heard through effective engagement is what builds your community and makes people resonate with what you do. We teach you what’s behind developing a stronger Voice in order to make your work Shine.

Held on location at the boutique grounds of renowned Interior Stylist Lynda Gardener’s The Estate, Trentham, our time together will be spent shooting Story scenes in the harvest garden and mini orchard and a rustic feast from our styled table setting in the white-walled barn. We go through practical exercises that teach you how to best connect the image and the words to create a rich visual narrative and ensure the story in your scene is the Hero.

Paula’s love for storytelling is about getting to the heart and soul of the matter. Creating a rich narrative that evokes and inspires your audience to sit up and pay attention. Words have the power to make a lasting impression. It’s important to make every single one count. Leaving her old life to pursue what makes her truly happy, has led to creating a business that marries all her passions – Writing, Food and the Greek Mediterranean. Her work has been published in countless publications including international travel magazine Get Lost, health and wellness publication Nourish, esteemed dining and entertaining publication Broadsheetand countless private clients. She divides her time between her hometown of Melbourne and hosting bespoke Creative Retreats to the Greek islands


Paola’s passion for her Italian heritage has led her to grow a successful career following her heart and doing what she loves. The author of soon to be two fabulous cookbooks, her stunning photography celebrates food, Italian life and joyous gatherings around the table with family and loved ones. Her work has been featured in The Age Good Food, Sunday Times Food and ITALY Magazine amongst countless others. Her ability to create sensory storytelling through food and photography and connecting it to the memories of family and Italy has been the core ingredient in attracting her audience and sharing what she loves. She travels to Italy whenever possible, running annual workshops at the renowned Anna Tasca Lanza Cooking School in Sicily.

What to expect


Homemade lunch and refreshments, all writing practicums and materials, photography practicums and group discussion for the day. The opportunity for one-on-one time at the end of our session. Exclusive facilitation in an intimate setting of just 10 participants.
